Tiddlywiki Acquired?

I was surprised to hear the BT acquired Tiddlywiki – one of my favorite tools. Actually, to be more accurate, they acquired Osmosoft. Jeremy Ruston, creator or Tiddlywiki, has been committed to the open source vision for Tiddlywiki and so BT basically acquired Jeremy.

At first glance this is a bit of a head scratcher, but after talking to Jeremy, I learned that BT acquired the brain power behind a very powerful container for mashups. Because the Tiddlywiki is a self contained HTML file and can point lots of great services to combine data but also allow users to easily transfer a persistent data storage unit, the file, very easily.

I’m not sure how they decided how much Osmosoft was worth but I think it is a great purchase for BT.
